Moving Toward Culturally-Informed Care

In this CEU presentation for practicing psychotherapists, Iranian-Armenian trauma-informed, culturally-humble psychologist Dr. Pauline Yeghnazar Peck will break down how much of what we have learned as mental health professionals doesn't fit for children of immigrants and bipoc folks. She will outline some of the critical clinical considerations we must attend to in order to serve diverse clients as well as ways that therapy can be adapted in order to meet clients' expressed and unexpressed needs. In learning how to practice with clients from a more decolonial approach, clinicians will learn frameworks and practices for creating more culturally inclusive services for all.
